Whisonant Engineering Services, LLC was founded in March 2005, to
provide structural engineering design services for commercial and
residential projects. The company’s founder Bill Whisonant graduated
from the University of South Carolina in 1979 and received his
professional engineering license in 1986. Mr. Whisonant has 26 years
of experience working for A/E firms 18 of those years were with
design build A/E firms.
WES offers diverse structural design experience ranging from
commercial, correctional, educational, hospitality, religious,
office, residential, condominium, student housing, and resorts. We
provide comprehensive design services for a variety of structural
systems, including cast-in-place concrete, precast concrete,
structural steel, composite construction, masonry, autoclave aerated
concrete, light gauge metal, and wood construction.
We attribute our history of successful practice to providing
value-added service; responsive, innovative design; accurate
documents that minimize construction change orders; and attention to
client needs, budgets, and schedules as a result of 30+ years of
experience in the design and construction field.
Mr. Whisonant has a current NCEES record and is currently registered
